How to Get a Free Contact Lenses Trial and Assessment

Ready to try contact lenses? Once you have found your optician, here’s what to expect from your first appointment and regular check-ups.

Your First Contact Lens Appointment

Make sure you explicitly book a contact lens appointment, as it usually takes a little longer than a regular eye examination. Your optician will review your eye health history, check your vision and assess the shape of your eye, ensuring that you receive an appropriate recommendation. Your optician will also show you how to put on and take off your lenses, as well as how to care for them. Remember to ask any question you may have during this appointment.

Follow Up Appointment

After about a week of getting used to your contact lenses, you’ll return to the optician for a follow-up visit. If at any time before this you have any concerns about comfort, vision or handling, always contact your optician straight away. If you’re loving your lenses and your optician is happy that everything is going well, you will be able to order an initial supply.

Regular Check Ups

Your vision correction needs can change over time. Make sure to visit your optician as requested to check the health of your eyes and that you are still wearing the right contact lens prescription and the lens that best suits your needs.
