What is Astigmatism?

Astigmatism is a common condition that affects many people – children as well as adults. If you have astigmatism you will have blurry or distorted vision at all distances, varying with the strength of the astigmatism. You may also be short or long sighted.

Astigmatism can interfere with daily activities that require seeing far away, like road signs, and close-up, like reading a magazine.

How can Astigmatism be corrected?

Most astigmatism can be corrected with ACUVUE® brand contact lenses including:

• 1•DAY ACUVUE® for ASTIGMATISM (daily disposable lenses)
• ACUVUE® ADVANCE™ for ASTIGMATISM (reusable lenses)

Contact lenses for astigmatism can also be used to correct long and short sightedness.
