How can I buy contact lenses?

If you are new to contact lenses the first thing you need to do is book an appointment with your eye care professional who will examine your eyes to determine your prescription as well as assess your suitability to wear contact lenses. They will also advise on the type of lens most appropriate for you. Your contact lens prescription may be different to your glasses prescription and the fitting of the appropriate ACUVUE® Contact Lens and its suitability for your eye, needs to be properly evaluated.

Your eye care professional will also advise you on hours of wear, cleaning and disinfection products (as required) and provide advice on hygiene, replacement frequency and frequency of aftercare appointments. Do not buy contact lenses without a valid prescription.

Can I ask my optician specifically for an ACUVUE® brand product? How do I know which products are best for my eyes and my prescription?

You can ask your optician specifically for an ACUVUE® brand product. Your optician will advise you on the best product to suit your prescription. You can also visit our contact lens products section for information on our product range. All ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses have UV protection to protect your eyes from the sun’s harmful rays*.

*UV-absorbing contact lenses are not substitutes for UV-blocking sunglasses as they do not completely cover the eye and the surrounding area
